Image is everything in the work of Marcel Lucont. Taking great pride in his stylish appearance Marcel wanted his website to reflect the same air of modern design. A recent trend in website design is one of minimalism in which the entire site is laid out on one long page upon which the main menu moves the user up and down depending on their content requests. This seemed like an excellent solution for Marcel.
As a man who dresses in dark colours most of the time we chose a dark and open theme. The pages are laid out in a logical progression beneath the main menu, providing users with a brief introduction to his career achievements, his biography, some examples of his more recent work followed by a gig list and opportunities to contact Marcel’s agent.
A simple site in appearance but very effective. The site is powered by a full content management system which allows Marcel to update all of the information, pictures, videos and awards without any web development knowledge. This content management system is also open-source, making it free to use while being supported by a huge network of skilled developers. The benefits of this are many but the main ones being that should Marcel decide he needs a new item of functionality then it will be easy to implement and he isn’t tied in to using me to do the work.
