Theale Water Sports Club have had a difficult history with websites. As a voluntary organisation they had a website developed by one of their members. When this member left they were unable to update the site and it became outdated, reflecting badly on the club rather than bringing in new business.
The brief from TWSC was primarily a re-design to bring the site up to date. The solution needed to ensure that the members and committee could update the site with news articles, membership prices and other pages within the site in which the information was subject to change.
After some evaluation of the current needs of the club, coupled with some anticipation of future needs we chose WordPress as the solution. It is an open-source content management system. As an open-source platform it means that the installation and on-going use is completely free, while being fully supported by a huge developer community.
